Local DC labor activists will rally this morning to support two jailed Korean labor leaders, Han Sang-gyun and Lee Young-joo. Han (right) and Lee were charged with a number of crimes, including sedition, after organizing a series of protests against regressive labor law reforms. The AFL-CIO International Department, along with AFT, UAW, USW, and APALA, is holding the demonstration outside the Korean Embassy at 9:15a this morning (see Calendar) to pressure the Korean government to release the two jailed leaders.
