Attendees at Saturday night’s “Black Violin” performance will be greeted by leafleting ticketsellers who are members of IATSE Local 868. A year after voting in the union, “we are still negotiating a first contract,” reports Local 868 Business Agent Anita Wilkinson. Strathmore management has “fought us every step of the way,” Wilkinson says, and while progress has been made, “we have gone about as far as possible.” The show itself is sold out, but Wilkinson says the local welcomes supporters to help them with the informational leafleting.
