![]() The “TPS Journey for Justice Caravan” arrives in DC today, and activists and lawmakers will welcome it at the U.S. Capitol at 1p (see Calendar). The Caravan began in Los Angeles on August 17th, when the National TPS Alliance, in collaboration with the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) and the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) launched the “TPS Journey for Justice Caravan,” which traveled across the country, visiting over 50 cities in a span of 12 weeks. The movement to save Temporary Protected Status – a program that protects over 450,000 people from deportations – has grown in response to the Trump administration’s decision to terminate the life-saving program as part of his ongoing attacks against immigrant communities.
