 Every year, Union Plus comes together to help a family in need within the local labor community around the holidays. After contacting the Metro Washington Council's Community Services Agency, they identified a UFCW Local 400 family this year. The Effa-Mbouls are a family of 10 from Woodbridge, VA... Local 400 member, Janice Effa-Mboul, who works at Giant 760, and her husband Engelbert, who has been out of work, are having trouble making rent payments on time and although they have sought out other avenues to receive assistance others have turned them down.
