![]() After a long struggle, Maria Rodriguez has won a settlement with her former employer, the 14th Street Cafe Asian Bistro. Rodriguez was owed tens of thousands in wages, overtime and damages, and the community group Many Languages One Voice helped organize picket lines to support Maria's battle for justice. "It was never about an amount of money," said Rodriguez, "but rather so that other people will realize that yes we can, and that they don't give up, that they fight for their rights!" Worker Justice Organizer Hannah Kane thanked everyone who showed up to support Maria. "Together we make the difference!," said Kane, "This victory belongs to all of us!"
