WPFW Fundraiser Underway; Station Supports Worker Voices

7/22/2015

WPFW, home of Union City Radio (weekdays at 7:15a), is conducting a summer mini fundraising drive this week. “This valuable community voice richly deserves your support,” says Metro Washington Council president Jos Williams. Click here to contribute online now (be sure to write in "Union City Radio" in the comment section) or to pledge by phone, call 202-588-9739 or 1-800-222-9739 (tell the volunteer to put down "Union City Radio" in the comment section). WPFW – 89.3 FM – was the official media sponsor of this year’s DC LaborFest, and featured labor music every Friday in May, as well as several popular “Your Rights At Work” shows, co-hosted by Union City Coordinator Chris Garlock and the Employment Justice Center. “This is a defining moment at WPFW, and your support is crucial,” adds Station Manager Katea Stitt.
