Here’s today's labor history: On this date in 1864 Mary Kenney O’Sullivan was born; O’Sullivan was the first AFL woman organizer. In 1880 she organized the Woman’s Bookbinder Union and in 1903 was a founder of the National Women’s Trade Union League. This is the first time that I've heard about Mary Kenney O' Sullivan. She's an icon for all women in the world. I know that many of the leading females in the industry must've at least heard about her. I'm really glad that she started the revolution towards equality. I hope that more people get inspired from her doings.
