With water bills skyrocketing in recent years, DC families, seniors, and churches are organizing to demand relief and save their homes. A coalition of organizations, including the Metro Washington Council, is urging residents to share their concerns at a series of Town Halls DC Water is holding across the District. “Many of our city’s most vulnerable residents are at risk of losing their homes and property due to liens placed on them by DC Water,” said Metro Council president Jackie Jeter.
